The Supreme Court of Georgia has decided to remove Douglas County Probate Judge Christina Peterson from office after determining thatthe juristviolated eight provisions of the Code of Judicial Conduct.
WithPeterson under investigation since shortly after taking office in 2021, the high court sanctionputs an end to an extensive judicial misconduct probe by the Judicial Qualifications Commission of Georgia. Peterson’s removal from office comes less than a week after her intervention in an altercation between an unknown man and woman outside a Buckhead lounge culminated in her arrest on felony charges.
