Your Gary Con Staff is excited to be able to share the Gary Con XVI dates, new artwork, expanded hotel arrangements, and some additional special opportunities! We have also included upcoming convention schedules for some of your Gary Con staff.

Gary Con XVI Dates

You’ve probably already figured it out because we put the dates in our new banner, but Gary Con is officially announcing that our 2024 dates are March 21st through the 24th. It feels like it has been so long since we were last together and we already can’t wait to see all of you in Lake Geneva!

Badges will officially go on sale July 29th.

“Founders & Legends” – save the date

Founders & Legends has been the brand that we’d run some streaming events and virtual conventions under over the years. For the 50th Anniv of our hobby we are going to host a pre-con-con (March 16th to the 18th) that will be the first ever physical Founders & Legends event. More details coming soon.

Badge Prices

Silver badges have increased to $115, and Gold badges have increased to $250. As we get more information on additional badge types, we will be sure to communicate it as soon as we can… (like right NOW!)

New Student Badge Type

Are you still in school? For Gary Con XVI, we’re going to offer a Discount Code to the first 150 students who send proof of enrollment (bursar’s office receipt, current student ID) to[emailprotected].

You will be given a code and will apply that code during your purchase of a Silver badge only. The code does not guarantee a badge and we’re expecting Silvers to sell out this year, so make your arrangements for the code now and be ready for checkout when badge sales begin.

Gary Con XVI Special Art by Erol Otus

One of the coolest things about Gary Con every year is that we have the best artists in the industry that produce our annual artwork. You see each year’s iconic art piece in banners, web, social media as well as our T-shirts. (By the way, there will also be a special Pride version available on T-shirts this year.) This year we are proud to share the Gary Con XVI art that has been provided by one of the all-time-greats that we all know and love, Erol Otus. This image of a beholder fighting a knight is truly awesome, and everyone that looks at it knows immediately this is another great piece of art by Erol Otus.

Gary Con Team Gaming News

We’d like to share some of the events we will be attending between now and Gary Con in March.

Luke Gygax will be attending Origins, Gen Con, Gamehole Con X, Tucson Comic-Con, 20Books to 50k Vegas

Dave Conant will be attending Phoenix Con II and Gamehole Con X

Skip Williams will be attending Gamehole Con X

Josh Popp will likely be attending Gamehole Con X, and

Garner Andrews will be attending Gen Con, Dragon Con, and Gamehole Con X

Yes, this year is the 50th anniversary of the initial publishing of D&D. How could the convention that is the Heart of TTRPGs not do something special?!

Gary Con is going to be streaming a NUMBER of new programs this year. We know you’ll be thrilled with this new content!

We have partnered with many additional hotels around the area to insure our community gets the best rates possible. There will even be a little something special for all who stay at these partner hotels. These will be posted on our website as soon as we can, and we will let you know via social media when this is done.

Has anyone ever suggested holding Gary Con simultaneously in other places like Boston, New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Houston, etc. Gary Con sounds wonderful and I’m pretty sure that there are more TTRPG enthusiasts in the U.S. that need a Gary Con experience than those that can go to Lake Geneva.
