The Gold House A100 list honors trailblazers across the industry who are at the forefront of what the organization calls the “new gold age.” Gold House will celebrate these honorees and announce severalnew initiatives at the Gold Gala on May 11 in Downtown Los Angeles.
Actor, director, producerandwriter Dev Patel, Jensen Huang (Nvidia’s co-founder and President), Anish Melwani Chairman and CEO of LVMHInc.of North America), content creator Rachell’Valkyrae’ Hofstetter andthe Maui First Responders are among the A1 honorees. The honor is given to individuals who have had the most impact within their respective industries over the past year.
The Gold Icon honor is being presented to the cast of Netflix’s “Beef.”
Gold House will also recognize record executive, producerandchairman of the HYBE Corporation, Bang Si-Hyuk, by presenting the founder of BTS with the Gold Legend award. Other recipients of the Gold Legend honor include Padma Lakshmi, producer and director Karan Joharand Lucy Liu.
Additionally,Variety‘s own seniorartisanseditor Jazz Tangcay was named an A100 honoree for her work.
As previously mentioned, “The Sympathizer” star Hoa Xuande and K-Pop group Ateez will be honored with the New Gold Award, which is handed to a rising leader who redefines canon for the Asian Pacific community, and “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo will receive the Gold Ally honor in recognition of her work in front of and behind the camera to advance representation.
This year’s theme, A Gold New World, imagines a tomorrow for all, built by all. Luxury brand fashion designer Prabal Gurung will help bring this vision to life as the first-ever Gold Gala Creative Director.
Guests will be treated to a Michelin-level three-course dinner, presented by OpenTable, with a menu designed by Lakshmi and Gold Gala executive chef Vijay Kumar and his team behind Semma in New York City.
Presenters for the night will include Alok Vaid-Menon, Regina King, Daniels, Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajaria, Jon M. ChuandLulu Wang.
The inaugural Gold House x Billboard Founders Party will follow. A100 honoree Steve Aoki has been announced as the event’s DJ. “RuPaul’s Drag Race”season 16 newly crowned queenNymphia Wind will also be performing.
